Plan to present your basic & translational research on the role of cytokines (including interferons, chemokines, and other regulators of inflammation) in infection, cancer, allergy and autoimmunity, as well as other immune-mediated diseases.

Bringing together scientists across many different research disciplines, the International Cytokine & Interferon Society is the premier organization promoting the field of cytokine biology, impacting all aspects of medicine, from cancer to autoimmune disease to neural development and function. A common ground where scientists interested in all aspect of cytokine biology can join and work together to better human health.

Cytokines 2018 will bring together leading investigators across many different research disciplines in the field of cytokine biology that impact all aspects of medicine.  One aim of the meeting is to bridge the gap between the scientists performing basic research on molecular and cellular mechanisms of immune cell activation and function with those working to develop this knowledge into novel therapies.

A major goal of the meeting will be to promote the interactions between scientists that focus on cytokine signaling and function in diverse areas of cytokine biology, such as:

  • host-microbiota interactions
  • innate immunity
  • host defense
  • metabolism
  • primary immunodeficiency
  • cancer immunotherapy
  • epigenetic regulation of cytokine expression

– and how these can be translated into therapeutic approaches to better manage human disease. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for updates on the development of cytokine based novel therapeutic interventions.
